PT Semangat Maritim Indonesia carried out the re-powering of an auxiliary engine on KMP. Drajat Paciran, a passenger ferry operated by PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry. The existing auxiliary unit was replaced with a new Baudouin 12M26.2 — a 12-cylinder V engine from the Baudouin range we supply as an Authorized Distributor.
Scope of work
- Removal of the existing auxiliary engine
- Transfer of the new Baudouin 12M26.2 across the vehicle deck and lowering it into the engine room with chain blocks
- Foundation adjustment and engine alignment on its seating
- Reconnection of exhaust, cooling and fuel piping, plus electrical and control wiring
- Pre-operation checks before the engine is handed over to the ship's crew
